A visit to the town of Hanga Roa allows to know the Anthropological Museum R.P. Sebastián Englert, the church where mass is celebrated on Sundays with songs in Rapa-Nui language, la cove of fishers and the craft market, where typical products are sold.
To the south of the town is the Rano Kau volcano, with its crater of 1, 6 Lm of diameter and the ceremonial center Orongo, where varied petroglifs exist; on the east Vinapu is located, with its two temples and ruins and the archaeological sites Hanga Poukora and Akahanga. After Is the Rano Rarasku Volcano, where great parts of the Moais were built that exists. Ahead you can see the beautiful beach of Anakena.
In the town also the Ahu Aklvi is found and the center of ceremonial Tahai. In the cove of Hanga Roa data of excursions of diving and rides on launch are obtained. |
