Hostal Nomade operates in this marvelous house constructed in the year 1850, known to be the most luxurious residence of the consul of France of the century XIX. Hard work has been made for the restoration of this historical treasure, achieving a mixture between the aesthetic concept and a youthful decoration, with smart colors and ecological elements.

The house is located in the English bohemian Quarter of Coquimbo and counts with good transportation to the center to the city of La Serena. We have disposed common areas in which the guests can enjoy TV, Games and share experiences.

Likewise, the kitchen is at disposal of those who require it and continuously carry out activities as parrilladas and fogones. On the other hand, the house counts with a library for those who enjoy a good reading, as also of innumerable spaces available for the lovers of privacy and contemplation. Among other additional services that we deliver, are the access to Internet and tourist information of the region and the country. The staff is composed by young, friendly, bilingual experienced and with vast experience personnel in the national and international tourist item.

The Fourth Region of Coquimbo enjoys of a fascinating variety of natural and cultural attractions. Known by its innumerable template and white sand beaches, is obliging destiny of vacationers year after year. In its coasts are unforgettable places by its scenic beauty of the beaches of Tongoy, Guanaqueros, Morrillos, Totoralillo, La Herradura and the Bay of Coquimbo and La Serena.

The neuralgic centers of the region are the cities of Coquimbo and La Serena, where the visitor can find all the services, besides an excellent representation of the colonial architecture. In the city of Coquimbo detach the “Casino of Games”, la Caleta de Pescadores, the “Fuerte Lambert”, The “Bahía de Guayacán”, cradle of legends of pirates and hidden treasures and the “Barrio Inglés”, place with great architectonic heritage, center of the night bohemia gastronomy and artistic- cultural representations of the region.

In the city of La Serena detach the “Parque Japonés”, the craft center “La Recova” and the “Avenida del Mar” which runs from the Bay to connect both cities.

The region is worldly known by its skies, ideal for the astronomic observation. That is why numerous observatories have been installed of international connotation as El Tololo, La Silla, some with access for the public as the Mamalluca in Vicuña and the Collaguara in Andacollo.

Perhaps the most memorable attraction of the region corresponds to the Valley Elqui. The valley is a privileged place for the rest, the contemplation of the landscape and the practice of alternative therapies such as reiky, reflexology, aromatherapy, Tarot, massages, etc., as it was refuge of mystics, monks and therapists who believe in the special magnetic qualities of this place. On the other hand, there are great craft samples and different paths to walk on foot and on horse. This particular valley is mountainous landscape, in addition, is the main center of production of papayas and pisco, alcoholic drink characteristics of the country.

Other things your have to enjoy in the region are the “Parque Nacional Fray Jorge”, “Valle del Encanto” and the “Reserva Nacional Pinguino de Humboldt”, characteristic by the diving practice, the fantastic beaches and the watching of dolphins, penguins, wolves and whales.
